Your rights to cancellations, repairs, replacements and refunds.
Last updated: 14 June 2026
This policy explains how refunds, repairs and replacements work at Surrey Tyres & MOT Centre. It sits alongside, and does not affect, your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer law.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services such as fitting, servicing, repairs and MOT testing must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill, you are entitled to ask us to put it right (repeat performance) within a reasonable time and at no extra cost. If that is not possible or not done within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a price reduction.
Any goods we supply, including tyres and parts, must be of satisfactory quality, as described and fit for purpose. If goods are faulty:
This does not apply to faults caused by fair wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or failure to follow reasonable care instructions after fitting.
No payment is taken when you book online, so cancelling or rearranging an appointment costs you nothing. Please let us know as early as you can on 01483 346 646 so we can offer the slot to another customer. As our bookings are appointments for services carried out at our garage, the 14-day cancellation right that applies to some online purchases does not apply once a service has been carried out at your request.
Once an MOT test has been carried out, the test fee reflects work already completed and is generally non-refundable, whether the vehicle passes or fails. If you cancel before the test takes place, no charge applies as payment is taken at the garage.
If you are unhappy with any goods or work, please contact us as soon as possible so we can inspect the vehicle and put things right. Contact us on 01483 346 646 or at info@surreytyres.co.uk, with your name, vehicle registration and details of the issue. Where a refund is due, we will process it using your original payment method within a reasonable time.
If we cannot resolve a complaint, you can seek free advice from Citizens Advice. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
